Happy 25th Birthday ‘Back to the Future’!
It was July back in 1985 that Marty McFly first traveled through time, resulting in hilarity, excitement and pure awesome.
This is, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest science fiction movies of all time. It shows that sci-fi doesn’t have to be overly complex or have dozens of hidden meanings to be good.
This movie just takes an interesting premise like time travel, and puts an entertaining spin on it. Like Doc Brown says, “If you’re gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?!”
This movie is just flat out funny, entertaining, and appeals to a wide audience. Hell, they don’t even TRY to explain how the time machine works, they just go with it. And its awesome!
Spawning two sequels (officially a trilogy) and a short lived animated series,

Animated Doc Brown with wife Clara, sons Jules and Verne, old pal Marty, and faithful dog Einstein
coupled with Michael J. Fox’s high profile struggle with Parkinson’s Disease, ‘Back to the Future’ will live on as one of those movies everybody has seen. And if you haven’t, what the hell are you waiting for?
